Job Description

About This Position

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Systems and Software Project Manager to manage and track international/distributed engineering teams for Automotive Electronics Projects in our Active Safety department at our Wuppertal, Germany location. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Feature/Function planning and tracking

  • Project level risk management

  • Coaching and leading teams in embracing and using Agile methodology

  • Resource planning and tracking - working with global team to meet sprint goals

  • Customer and Project Management contact for planning topics

  • Measure and monitor project level metrics - critical resources, process quality and schedule

  • Coordinate/lead project release planning, feature/function planning and tracking

  • Oversee change management

  • Support systems and software process adherence and compliance with Quality Assurance standards

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering

  • 5+ years knowledge of the Systems/Software quality processes (e.g. SPICE, CMMI) and SW development life cycle

  • 5+ years of hands on experience of Scrum, Agile development, preferably in a variety of situations

  • 5+ years of hands on experience with Embedded Systems/Software development

  • 1+ years of backlog tracking, burndown metrics and task definition

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Automotive industry background (CAN, Ethernet, SPICE, AUTOSAR) highly desired

  • Strong communications, coordination and problem solving skills

  • Active Safety domain knowledge

  • Experience with global distributed teams

  • Experience with functional safety, cybersecurity protocols

  • JIRA tool experience
