Job Description

We are Aptiv - a global technology company with 190,000 specialists in 46 countries, 3,000 of them in Germany. We work in partnership with almost all car manufacturers. Our sensors, systems and software can already be found in almost all passenger cars today.

In this role you will lead a small team and report into our Technical Program Director (based in Wuppertal). You will be responsible for IP management, the technology assessments, building operational partnerships with semiconductor suppliers, concepts for embedded and scalable IP for radar AI/ML, cost assessments, market overview and planning, embedded and external memory concepts etc. Your work is directly connected with sensors, ML, system architectures, radar algorithms and features and functions.

Your Role:

  • Lead the Advanced Engineering cross-product line SoC for high-performance computer platforms (Safety, Connectivity & Security and User Experience)

  • Technical Lead for SoC IP strategy and partnerships across product lines

  • Lead SoC Platform Architect for our Gen 2.0 and 3.0 ADAS Satellite platforms

  • Work across the organization to lead and guide SoC related topics

  • Define and drive Machine Learning SoC hardware definition

  • Manage a small working team of 3-5 advanced engineers to execute the above

  • Technical Fellow for SoCs within Aptiv with touch points and great visibility to our Executive Committee

Your Background:

  • University degree (ideally Master of Science) in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, electrical engineering or a related field

  • 8+ years of experience in ADAS functions

  • Knowledge on the expert level in radar technology

  • Knowledge on the expert level in Machine Learning

  • Knowledge on the expert level in hardware architecture

  • Many years of technical and disciplinary management responsibility

  • Great organizational skills

  • Great leadership skills

  • German knowledge would be an advantage
