Financial Analyst

As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering the end to end finance process for the UK business, working closely with our European finance team and shared service. You will partner with our business functions to complete reporting and reconciliation activities that enable cashflow and budget forecasting, variance, sales and margin analysis and accurate reporting of actuals, budget position and financial statements.

Adopting a proactive approach, you will partner with the Management team to ensure accurate forecasting and actual figures and to develop your understanding of the business and cost drivers. You will have a keen eye for detail and will be comfortable operating in a fast paced environment, adapting quickly to changing business requirements and meeting deadlines.

This is a dynamic role which offers great support to someone looking to learn and progress, with opportunities to work closely with the wider global team and have exposure to financial systems outside the UK. Working as an integral part of the team, you can add real value and drive process improvements.   

Your Role

  • Input to the timely close of the Month end process and accurate submission of the EDS UK Financial Statement and Cash Flow forecast.  
  • Liaise with local management team to prepare the Monthly Forecast and address any queries that may arise.
  • Prepare monthly reporting for Forecast and Actuals, Margin Analysis, Functional Variance and functional reports e.g. Customer, Engineering, Sales Analysis
  • Scrutinise, analyse and complete monthly approval of the Balance Sheet reconciliation. 
  • Prepare Monthly Fixed Asset and Lease Asset reconciliation
  • Ensure all Journals are posted on time and accurately, analyzed and matched to our SAP HFM reporting system before submission.
  • Liaise with Program Managers to correctly track Cost and Recovery of the Tool Asset.
  • Contribute to the accurate preparation and reporting of the Yearly Budget. 
  • Input to the Monthly SOX reporting and Yearly Statutory Audit Process. Ensure continuous improvement and creation of process notes (SOP) which will be help map the way we do our work and contribute to best practice.
  • Prepare and submit the UK Business Government Survey.
  • Act as the main point of Contact for payment queries to ensure smooth continuation of service.

Your Background

  • You will be Part Qualified or Qualified ACCA/CIMA.
  • You will have advanced Excel skills and be highly numerate.  
  • Strong capability to making decisions with data and applying business acumen.
  • SAP and HFM System experience is useful for the role, as is previous experience in the Manufacturing Industry.
