This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment; Connection Systems business unit. 

Summary (About this Position):

The Aptiv Connection Systems Team has an exciting opportunity for a Design Review Team Engineer to join the North America Product Engineering Team.  The successful candidate will be a part of a team that drives the development of robust designs for our customers. The Design Review Team Engineer will use engineering knowledge and experience to review and provide critical feedback on product designs by reviewing the engineering data supporting the customer requirements. The successful candidate will be part of a team located at the Champion Technical Center in Warren, Ohio that will review new products and product changes ensuring that they will exceed our customer expectations.

Your Role (i.e. Key Job Responsibilities):

  • Review NX CAD Models, tolerance analyses, additive manufactured parts and actual parts documenting areas of concern

  • Working with product engineering to close all areas of concern

  • Conduct design review meetings

  • Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements

Your Required Background (i.e. Must Haves):

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Understanding of automotive connection systems

  • Usage of GD&T and complete tolerance analyses for systems

Your Preferred Background (i.e. Nice to Haves):

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Siemens NX experience

  • Fundamental understand of injection molding

  • Fundamental understanding of predictive analyses (FEA, Mold Flow)

  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Skype, Teams, Visio, etc.)

  • Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics

  • Resourcefully innovative and adapts in a rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a team

  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently

  • Strong presence, poise and persuasiveness to establish a high level of credibility quickly
