SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY FROM DAY ONE.
This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment in Troy, MI.
Our Engineering Project Leaders are responsible for the overall execution of the product development process ensuring on-time quality and the delivery of our Advanced Radar Systems to the customer. In this role, you’ll be working with automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and lane keeping assistance technologies (and more) that have the power to prevent accidents and save lives. This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience (ASUX) segment and will be located in Troy, MI.
Estimates and plans the System Resources required for the development of the ECUs
Is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Systems strategy of SSDP
Plans, prioritizes and tracks the necessary system activities with the objective to meet the project goals with regard to project timing, costs and quality
Aligns system activities with other competencies
Acts as the Interface to the Customer for all technical questions in the system scope of the developed product
Manages and tracks all competencies with regard to system requirements analysis and clarification, system architecture reviews, evaluation of change requests and resolution of system issues
Is responsible for on time completion of systems work products both with regard to customer milestones and APTIV internal milestones related to APTIV's product development process (PDP)
Is responsible for the system activities and work products comply with ASPICE by applying APTIV processes and methods
Supports the release planning and the creation of release and delivery documentation
Analyze the impact of changes to system requirements and system architecture and estimate required system resources to implement the change
Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (electrical, systems, computer science, software, computer or related field of study)
7+ years of hands on Engineering experience in Systems and Customer Interface
3-5+ years of experience in radar, image & signal processing, target tracking AND/OR machine vision applications
Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):
Master’s degree in Engineering
10+ years of hands on Engineering experience in Systems and Customer Interface
Proven record of taking customer requirements from design to production
Familiarity with microprocessor/DSP based hardware designs, and Software Architectures for automotive designs
Experience in JIRA, Polarion/DOORs
Experience with CAN, Flexray, Ethernet, LVDS, CANalyzer/CANape/CANoe
