Job Description for Software Engineer - QNX Platform/BSP Developer

We are looking for talented, experienced (mid, senior) Embedded Engineers to expand our team working on Board Support Package for Cockpit Software Solutions in Aptiv’s new product organization. The successful candidate will be part of development team located in Krakow office, cooperating with local and remote teams. The main focus is on software development close to hardware and operating system.

Your Role

• Analyze customer and defining internal requirements and converting them into design and code

• Develop code in C language for QNX or Linux or Android BSP

• Device drivers development for the target platform

• Support software integration activities

• Prepare software tests: functional, unit, integration

• Bring up new hardware platforms

Your Background

• University degree in Computer Science or related

• 2+ years of Middleware or BSP development experience

• Excellent programming skills in C language

• Expertise in operating systems fundamentals and thorough BSP understanding

• Experience with device drivers development

• Experience with electronic equipment (JTAG debugger, evaluation boards, logic analyzer, scope, etc.)

• Knowledge of: cmake/bitmake/make/Yocto strategies

• Knowledge of tools like: git, gerrit, Jira, Polarion

• Very good understanding of embedded systems

• Excellent communication and documentation skills in English

Nice to have

• Experience in HW bring up

• Ability to understand hardware designs

• Familiarity with Linux or QNX Kernel

• Good understanding and debugging skills of boot sequence and optimizations
