Job Description for Junior Program Buyer (Temporary Contract)

As a Program Buyer you will join the technology company that’s transforming the future of mobility today, inside the Product Business Unit – Electrical Distribution Systems, raising and accomplishing several opportunities and challenges for our plants located in Europe and North Africa.

Being a part of our international Supply Chain Management team located in Kraków, you will be responsible to deliver best cost quotes for direct components. You will manage programs under your responsibility with help and support from the Direct Supervisor, within a frame of Supply Chain Management (SCM) team and use your knowledge and creativity bringing material performance to the SCM overall result.

Your Role

• Act as the interface between SCM and other functions (PM, Sales, Logistics, Finance and Engineering) for all direct material related issues within Program Development Process;

• Coordinate the purchasing activities according SCM rules and procedures;

• Prepare the sourcing packages for Supply Chain Category Team;

• Assure on time the PPAP, Frame Contract availability for all purchased components in close collaboration with SCM AQE and Category teams;

• Conduct Benchmarks and Select/Nominate the development/prototype suppliers in conjunction with category and engineering;

• Create the development contracts for the new parts;

• Assure capacity confirmation for all purchased components of a program - drives escalation in case of non-confirmation;

• Ensure suppliers readiness to meet customer milestones;

• Analyze material content and Preparation of costed Bill of Materials;

• Ensure compliance with global and local functional processes and work instructions.

Your Background

• Degree from commercial or technical university

• Business experience in Purchasing or Sales or Project Management

• Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP

• Excellent verbal and written English language skills

• Good skills in negotiation and communication
