Your role:

We are looking for a Technical Product Owner to lead the IoT device platform development. This is a senior-level position. The Product Owner is a critical member of the team responsible for the design, development, and functional verification of a best-in-class connected vehicle, telematics and data analytics platform. As a Product Owner, you will work to understand the state of the art in automotive systems, the connected vehicle marketplace, and the needs of our platform customers. You will design and launch segments of our next-generation embedded- and cloud-based automotive data acquisition and analytics solution which enable our customers to unlock the full value of their automotive assets. You will be responsible for the entire edge platform, and make sure that the code is re-usable across multiple hardware stacks, all the higher level applications such as AI can run well on whatever device they are executed on.

  • Combine market trends, customer needs and product vision into a detailed description of what to build and convey that vision to the rest of the development team

  • Be the main point of contact to our internal and external customers, guide them through development lifecycle, and discuss on daily basis their detailed requirements, propose when they are not sure, and manage your product

  • Work with software engineering teams to prioritize tasks, estimate timing and plan sprint content

  • Work with program management and project management to track the implementation of software features and ensure milestones are met

  • Develop structured test plans for verification of prototype software applications

  • Triage, root cause and resolve issues in cloud-based services, APIs and web-based engineering tools

  • Conduct engineering tests and coordinate software POCs to analyze the feasibility and applicability of proposed software solutions

  • Continue to stay current in training in the latest automotive systems technology

Requirements:

  • Experience producing requirements documentation, use cases, user stories and other artifacts preferably for cloud-based services and applications

  • Very good leadership skillset, prioritization of work and communication with external stakeholders

  • Experience as a business analyst or in technical product leadership role

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Proven ability to meet commitments and deliver to timelines

  • Strong desire to learn new things, and ability to perform independent product and market research

  • Independent problem-solving ability

  • Experience working with remote teams

  • Experience with agile software development process

What will make you stand out:

  • Work within the automotive industry, connected vehicles and vehicle diagnostics.

  • Automotive ECU updates / re-flash, Over-the-Air updating, etc.

  • Automotive communication networks (CAN, Automotive Ethernet, etc.) and vehicle diagnostic services (e.g. UDS)

  • Developing automotive or similar data analysis, simulation, dashboarding, and reporting solution

  • Embedded applications, particularly in the automotive industry

  • Cloud services, API design, data storage and analysis, and web application / user experience design

  • Familiarity with cloud based software architectures from Azure, AWS or GCP.

  • Familiarity with C/C++ application development, Autosar and Linux

  • Familiarity with microcontrollers and ARM processor

  • Knowledge of Functional Safety and SPICE processes

  • Experience with CI/CD workflows
