Job Description for Engineering Team Manager - ETHERNET/Diagnostic

Position Summary

As Engineering Team Manager you will lead software experts teams. You will be integral part of our development team working on architecture of tomorrow’s car.  You will have a chance to implement new ideas and develop a breakthrough technology in order to make the world safer, greener, and more connected.

Your Role

• Develop software teams by hiring best in class employees, evaluating and managing people performance and ensuring appropriate development opportunities
• Lead and enable your team with inspiration, using your expertise for technical guidance
• Provide input to staffing planning, which would be based on the knowledge of business requirements, newly won contracts, product roadmap, as well as deep understanding of current staffing levels, skillsets, and existing retention risks
• Have a deep understanding of team’s work by staying close to the people and their activities, as well as through development of visual performance & quality metrics
• Continuously remove impediments that are blocking team performance
• Drive Competency Excellence by fostering the culture of pursuing perfection
• Build Quality Into Practices – support the quality through appropriate infrastructure & resources
• Ensure team’s compliance with company processes and standards

Your Background

• Exhibiting advanced professional interest in people management, with particular focus on employee recruitment, coaching & development
• Software competency background & software development processes understanding
• Ability to work in complex, matrix organizations for the benefit of the team
• Previous experience with automotive is a nice to have
