The Senior Project Quality Advisor plays a critical role in ensuring our Initiatives are given the appropriate governance and oversight, according to the Aptiv Project Management methodology, enabling our Project & Program Managers to deliver successful quality project outcomes.
Quality oversight - Performing health checks, creating path-to-green plans, monitoring compliance to methodology and management of the portfolio KPIs.
Governance - Ensuring the programs apply a pragmatic, fit for purpose, flexible structure and continuously seek to improve standards across the project delivery organisation.
Support - Mentoring the Program & Project Managers, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to achieve their goals.
Primary responsibilities of this position are related to overseeing program and project management functions across two core areas; people & processes. Some of the specific responsibilities of this role include:
People:
Act as a central broker and facilitator for our Stakeholders to discuss the effectiveness of the frameworks and any proposed changes to the frameworks.
Ensure our Project teams have the information and support they need in order to deliver their projects and programs.
Ensure effective project delivery training, mentoring & coaching is given to agreed project delivery stakeholders.
Continuously seek to improve our training framework, ensuring we are constant, current and flexible in our approaches.
Represent the PMO at portfolio critical review meetings, ensuring key relationships with senior stakeholders are effectively maintained and advanced.
Processes:
Constantly seek to improve our methodologies and how we implement them, ensuring pragmatic/appropriate best practices are applied to delivery of project portfolios.
Provide input to PMO maturity model and roadmap; be an active part of the PMO growth plans.
Ensure that a pragmatic and appropriate level of governance is applied for each individual project.
Perform project quality health checks, use compliance metrics in order to recommend corrective and preventive actions as needed.
Champion the use of the PPM tool and its portfolio reporting & dashboards
Facilitate collaborative updates of our processes – constantly seeking to make improvements

Qualification & Educational Requirements:
Expert in program and project management - minimum: 8-10 years relevant IT project/program management experience
Bachelor’s degree in the field of business, computer science, or equivalent experience
PMP or PRINCE 2 certification required and Agile certification preferred
PMO / PM Advisor experience an advantage
Proficient at the use of PMO productivity applications including Project, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Teams
